Framework for Continuing Educational Development of Trainers in General Practice in Europe (CEDinGP)
EURACT - the European Academy of Teachers in General Practice / Family Medicine - had a leading role in the Framework for Continuing Educational Development of Trainers in General Practice in Europe (CEDinGP) that was launched in November 2010. This two year project co-funded by the European Union within the Leonardo da Vinci Programme had the objective of proposing, developing and implementing an educational framework for family medicine teachers working in GP education in Europe. The framework provided the basis for the development of educational courses for GP/FM teachers on 3 levels: level 1 (competent educator), level 2 (proficient educator) and level 3 (educational expert).
The project also led to the construction of a European Network of GP/FM teachers supported by an innovative internet-based educational platform hosted on the EURACT website. For further details please click here.
The CEDinGP final document was launched at the WONCA Europe Regional Conference 2012 held in Vienna, Austria on 4-7 July 2012 and may be downloaded from here.
